Moving home

Scotish hydro electric can continue to supply once the details of move is intimated
to the company along with new address. A new energy supply account will be set-up.
The required information can be provided online by using their online form.

You can also order items like new washing machine or fridge freezer online for the
new home.
The company claims to offer a saving of 30 % on such purchases.

On the day of move note down the electricity and gas final meter readings. Similarly
take the electricity and/or gas meter readings at the new home and call Scottish
Hydro Electric and intimate the readings. The company will send a final bill for the
old home and start a new account for the new home.

Prices
The company claims that the customers on an average , using dual fuel, paid around
£320 less than they would have done if they had been with Scottish Gas

Scottish Hydro Electric reduced gas prices by 12% from March 2007 and electricity
prices by 5% from 1st April 2007.

Dual Fuel Customers will receive only one bill for gas and electricity from Scottish
Hydro Electric and they have the option to manage their accounts online .

Rating of Scottish Hydro Electric
During a survey by uSwitch among the customers during April 2007 the SSE has
been selected as the best energy suppliers among six major companies in UK. The
survey was conducted for value for money, best deal for the customer, customer
service, billing service and transfer process. The overall rating was of the order of
70%.
