Prices

The company has launched three new plans during February 2007. As per these plans
the company offers , “Energy Guarantee”, “Electricity Guarantee” and “Gas
Guarantee”.The company claims that the prices of duel energy, gas and electricity
Will be cheaper than the major energy supply company, British Gas until 1st
September 2008. If there is a reduction of prices by British Gas, the company
commits itself to reduce their prices also. Following this plan the company reduced
the gas and electricity prices by 16% and 5% respectively.

Special offers by Powegen

The company gifts three numbers of low energy light bulbs, an early warning
hypothermia thermometer and a year’s supply of 3 carbon monoxide detectors when a
new Age Concern Customer joins the company.
A Cold Weather Payment of £10.50 is paid by the company to each customer along
with the first bill following winter,.

There is also another incentive to aged people, in which an additional Cold Weather
payment is made to Age Concern customers. This is a variable payment depending
upon the number of days that the temperature falls below zero.
No service charge is added in the bills. The bill is only for the energy that you have
consumed.

Energy Saving Plan

The plan includes the following:
-A voucher for an energy efficiency light bulb is given that can be used to buy a
bulb..
-A report is given to the customer explaining how to use energy more wisely at
home
- A thermometer is given to each customer, to monitor the temperature in each
room at home.
-An usage guide is given to each of the customer that will help to reduce the
energy consumption.
- The company also provides up to £200 worth of discounts for home insulation

-One bill discount applies to customers combining their electricity and gas through the
Energy Saving Plan pack.
